Faced with the mobilization of people and increasing financial demands of the fight against HIV / AIDS and existing malfunctions on the implementation of organized programs (including delivery of funds, quality of care, effectiveness of prevention programs etc..) associations fight against HIV / AIDS, AIDS in France, ALCS (Association for the Fight Against AIDS) in Morocco, ARCAD AIDS (Association of Research, Communication and Support to Home for people living with HIV / AIDS ) in Mali and AIDS-COCQ (Coalition of Quebeckers Community Organizations Fight against AIDS) in Quebec have expressed their desire to move beyond partnerships that have implemented at international level to build a common structure promoter of community approach .
They therefore decided to form together a Union in which they have the status of the Founders.
... Promoter of the community approach in the fight against HIV / AIDS, the Union is destined to expand into new associations sharing the values and approach of the Union. The latter will have the opportunity, subject to compliance with a number of criteria set forth in this Charter (criteria of the Swiss Union), to become Members of the Coalition and thus benefit from a financial and material support and a vote in the Union.
In addition, the Coalition also aims to support technically and materially associations wishing to become a member but do not meet all the criteria of Label mentioned above. They will then have the status of Partners is to say, benefiting from technical and material support of the Coalition (with the exception of financial support), and a consultative voice in the Union.

Community Approach
It is at the heart of the action of members of the Union and aims to involve people infected, affected or vulnerable to HIV / AIDS at the same time in expressing their health problems, defining their needs, their priorities, but also in decision making and implementation and evaluation of health actions for the struggle against HIV / AIDS through a comprehensive approach and a goal of processing societal.
Impartiality
The Coalition of People make no distinction of nationality, race, gender, religion, social status, political affiliation, cultural identity, sexuality, lifestyle. They also do not distinguish between people with whom they committed against their therapeutic choices. Their main mission is to provide support and assistance to any person affected or particularly vulnerable in relation to HIV infection / AIDS.
Independence
To preserve its freedom in its choice of actions and measures implemented to achieve them, members of the Coalition are independent of family religious, moral, political or scientific.
Privacy
The People Coalition ensure the anonymity of people they support and the confidentiality of their work with them, inside and outside associations. This rule, established in the concept of respect for the protection of individuals, is nonetheless not an obstacle to the rise of information and malfunctioning on situations experienced by patients and their relatives, based activism of the Union.
Freedom of expression
The Coalition is an area of free exchange of ideas and options on all issues related to HIV infection / AIDS. |
